KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre has successfully completed 2 workshops in mid June (10th and 14th of June 2019) at Melissa Network offices in Athens, Greece for the piloting implementation of the MedLit e-learning platform. The event was addressed to migrant women / refugees / asylum seekers wishing to enhance their media and digital literacy skills.
The training was conducted in English with simultaneous interpreting in Farsi and Arabic language.

The training gave the participants the chance to understand and manage digital media, search for information in the internet, create and manage an email account, use Google Maps for directions, find their favourite recipe online, communicate with their friends/relatives via social media and so many other interesting things.

The most important outcome of the piloting workshops is that the trainees gradually develop their social and political skills, enhancing their critical thinking as well as their cultural awareness and expression. The final vital step is for those women to become ‘Ambassadors’ and share their newfound knowledge to their circle via the MedLit online innovative learning tool.
